The best thing about making perfume from the flowers in your garden is that you can use any flower that you like to make that perfume. There is literally no limitation as any flower can be used. You can customize your own perfume as per your choice.

Procedure: Turn Your Flowers into Perfume

The procedure is quite simple. And the best thing about this homemade perfume is that you don’t need any chemicals. Therefore, this type of perfume would not only be of your own choice but also completely chemical-free.

To make the perfume, you need half cup of petals of the flowers that you chose. It is your decision, whether you want to use only one type flower or a mixture of various flowers. Take two cups of distilled water and a piece of cheese cloth, a pan, stove and a container in which you would like to store your home-made perfume.

A normal bottle will also do but if you want a decorative bottle or glass perfume bottles then you can get them from any store. There are various empty perfume bottles available in the market which have spray opening. These glass perfume bottles are quite easy to use and you could use them to store your perfume.

Let’s the Process Begin

Before starting the process, make sure that you have washed the flower petals properly and carefully. There should be no dirt and pests on the flowers. Put the pan on the stove and add 2 cups of water to it. Let it get warm and then add the petals in the water and let it boil for a while.

Once this is done and the petals start leaving colour, turn down the flame and let it simmer for two hours. Make sure that the flame is low, and there is still water in the pan. The petals shouldn’t get burnt. After 2 hours, turn off the stove and let the mixture cool. Strain the water with the help of the cheesecloth. Let the liquid collect in a container, cool it and then transfer it to the empty perfume bottles.

And voila! Your home-made perfume is ready. Use it and always smell fresh and lovely.
