Lest we not forget, thorough skincare means moisturizing from the inside, too. Taking vitamin E and omega-3 fatty acids – either as supplements or through increased intake of nutritious foods, such as fish, nuts and leafy greens – helps to improve your skin’s elasticity.
When you take a shower during winter, moisturize from head to toe as your pores will be wide open at this stage. But if you’re prone to skin acne, this could lead to a breakout as moisturizing could clog your pores even more. So, experiment to know what works more for you and when you do find one that works, stick with it.
Just as the skin gets affected during winter, the hair also gets a beating and locks up as well. it’s often common to see flyaway hair and split ends being reported when there is low humidity. Your hair needs moisture but a thick one to coat the strands and protect it from blow drying.

To use coconut oil effectively, simply melt a couple tablespoons in the microwave for a couple of seconds (don’t overheat!), or use warm water to melt it down, then massage into your hair and scalp. Let it sit a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. You can also use solidified coconut oil to tame frizz and add shine. Apple Cider Vinegar and Baking Soda are also important for washing your hair during winter.
